Warmer Weather

The Warmer Weather has finally decided to join us, bringing with it sunny days and hotter temperatures.  This is a reminder that all students should be prepared for the weather.

With the hot and sunny weather, we recommend students continue to bring their reusable water bottles and hats to protect their heads.  We do not have cups in the office anymore, so it's very important for your child to bring their water bottle.  If they happen to forget it at home, restrictions have been lifted for students to be able to use the water fountains again.  If you chose to send your child to school with sunscreen, kindly teach them how to apply their own as staff are not allowed to apply sunscreen on children.

For safety reasons, we recommend students to wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes.  And though we fully understand that Crocs are the fashion, they are not appropriate footwear for gym or playing sports outside during recess.

In January 2025, our school board sent out a Community Bulletin regarding updates to the dress code policy.  As part of these changes, dress code expectations now require that students ensure the area from the top of the shoulders to mid-thigh is covered.

Just like Winter Gear, we ask that you label your items that are brought to school as many kids have the same items and things get mixed up all the time.

VERY IMPORTANT:  We also recommend packing a change of clothes with your child.  It does not matter the grade of the child; every single child should have a change of clothes packed in their backpack.  Bathroom accidents are not the only reason children need a change of clothes.

Thank you all for your continued support.
